SMELL OF DEATH

Have you ever smelled death?

People assume death to be stale. Death is related to darkness, and impurities.

But have you ever thought of death as the ultimate friend? The constant companion who looks after you, no matter what happens? The certain arrival of whom will end all the miseries in your life, all the pains, the regrets and the memories turned into a speck in the timeline?

I will assume your silence to be no.Because, may be you are thinking of death right now.
Will you have a cup of coffee?

Yes, where were we? Oh, I remember, death was the centre of attention.
Don’t scowl at merits not that bad, believe me. Let us converse about it, and you will know what I mean soon enough.

So, you think death is morbid.Okay, I won’t impose my opinions on you, and I can at most try to influence what you think about it.

Do you remember your first love? The one you thought was absolutely perfect, and ended up to transform memories into irreplaceable rows of faltering regrets and the things that you did with no reciprocation or whatsoever. It’s amazing that the straws you hold on for your dear life chokes and ruins you. But what if, they were trying to strangulate the memories, suffocate the escaping emotions, and hold together the bonds that you shared with? So, you see the perspectives change what you do.

Sorry for going off the track. I remember your friend, with those blue serene eyes, and brown hair. How is the fellow now? Oh, you two are not in touch. It is really unfortunate. You claimed your friendship to be eternal-well, it turned out, it was just circumstantial. I have heard hatred for an individual pulls together two other people more than mutual love does. So,you see, friendship is a phenomenon-a necessity that we linger on as the inevitable. But,as you said earlier, your friendships, the bests have been jeopardized, and now cease to exist anymore. So friendship is not your solace, either.I hope you miss the memories. Or, do you? Or you simply want to get those at bay? Ahh.. again drifting out, let’s be back where we were.

You knew the lady who lived across the street, didn’t you? The one who committed suicide because her husband left her for another woman. Unfortunate, it seems, that even family can’t give you eternal peace.
Did I say eternal? Pardon me; nothing is eternal, except time. We all are subject to be born, give birth to, and die-all in due time. It’s all about the two variable: time and perception.

Are you okay? You are sweating, and your face is turning red.Oh, you think it’s too hot today.Well, I have to agree-the weather also changes. Going to meet someone special, and it rains. You catch a fever, and the breeze brings about a chill. It also fails to suffice your search for evergreen happiness.
Being cold is just being less hot; same as being dead is being less alive. They are interring dependent. Can you just flip a coin, with only one face? Roll a dice with only 3 sides? Or rise, without falling? No, you can’t.
Even you can’t have shadow in the absence of light. Do you understand?
So, my friend, do you understand how death is intertwined with life? It’s like the ever-alert guardian to be with you eternally.Yes, eternally-because death is eternal, and it is redundant. It strikes you, until and unless you give in to it finally. Death does not smell morbid, it's smell is nauseatingly addictive, have you seen the eyes of a prisoner sentenced to death? Its calm, like the azure wave-less sea.Because, that individual has reached the end of his perils.

Why are you clutching your chest? Are you sick? Oh, just too much food in the day? It will settle soon.
So, you see, we are not afraid of death. It’s the unknown beyond it, the realms of surrealism which exist above our common intrepid imagination that we fear. We are intimidated by what may lie when we go to the other side of the veil of uncertain assumptions.
Death is always compared to mortality.No.It absolutely unfair. Mortality is the state of not being alive. Death is the phenomenon that actually extends beyond physical existence, into the deeper strata of emotions and acquainted conscience.

You surely are not feeling well. Let me check your pulse. It’s fluctuating, are you sure you want to carry on this conversation? OK, as you say-you seem to be interested in death after all.
So, what I was saying: death is tranquil. You know why people don’t come back from death? My guess is after death, the tranquility is horribly beautiful, and this is what keeps them from returning back to the world we know. It simply passes on over you: the aura is self-defying.
Everyone wants to be free-free from the shackles of responsibility, free from connivance, free from guilt, and free from dependence. But,may befits our innate nature to wish for freedom from the materialistic world-we don’t do it just because of the lack of wisdom, or awareness of the sub-conscious.

May be, may be not-and may be death gives you enough knowledge to bring this fact into your reckoning.
You are turning pale.Well, are you feeling a calm suddenly? Like the eye of the storm? May be, you are reviving from any agents that was causing you trouble.Well, there are too many ‘may bee’s in our life, aren't there? So, let’s take a break from the 'may bees.

Don’t get up brother. I know you are in pain now. Of course I know. It’s the coffee you took. It had pills of death in it.
Don’t look at me like that, I'm a friend of you. The only true friend that you ever had. The only friend who has been there for you at every nook and turn of your life. The friend who stood out and...never let you down.

Hello, I’m Death.
